Exclusive: Former Egypt Coach Express Black Stars Interest

Former Egypt and Al-Ahly coach Hossam El Badry has expressed interest in the Black Stars Coaching job, 442gh.com can exclusively report.
The expression of the 61-year old’s interest follows the reported dismissal of Milovan Rajevac after Ghana’s disappointing campaign in the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
El Badry, a former Egyptian International who was axed by the Egypt Football Association (EFA) in September last year is currently in Canada on sabbatical break and is looking for a way back into football management.
The former Al-Ahly trainer was appointed by the EFA in 2019 after the sacking of Javier Aguirre and he superintended over ten(10) matches, winning six(6) and drawing four(4).
442gh.com can confirm that Hossam El Badry has already contacted his partners in Ghana, asking them to inform the Ghana Football Association (GFA) of his interest.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian coach, will in the coming days submit his credentials to the GFA for consideration as the next Black Stars trainer.
The GFA is racing against time to name a successor to Milovan Rajevac with the Black Stars having two crucial world cup qualifying play offs againt Nigeria coming up in March.
