Ghana Football Association (GFA) has introduced another national championship for division II clubs aside the regional leagues, 442gh.com can exclusively report.
The country’s highest governing football body introduced what is known as inter clubs championships for runners of the regional division II leagues across the country.
Runners up in each of the 10 regions will assemble in Accra for the maiden edition of the Inter Clubs championship whiles the winners at the regional level move into the national division one league.
The newly introduced tournament is expected to be played on rotational basis with each region assured of hosting rights.
Greater Accra will host the first edition of the tourney slated for August 2020 with 10 participants across the country.
This will increase the number of competitions on the local terrain with the regional division II league, MTN FA Cup, Women’s Premier league and the Ghana Premier league leading the pack.
