Our source within the club said both coaches exhibited a posture that suggested they cannit work together with Maxwell Konadu insisting he cannot be head of the technical department in the presence of Bashir Hayford.

Bashir Hayford who has served less than 8 months on his three year contract told the club he would prefer to take his 1 month leave to allow Maxwell Konadu steer the affairs of the club till the end of the football season.

The source told Bashir Hayford was contracted to develop the youth side of the club, and would likely revert to the position of Youth coach when he returns from the leave .

The former Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold coach joined Legon Cities un December after Goran Barjaktarevic was sacked for non performance.

Bashir Hayford took Legon Cities from the bottom of the league with 4 matches, and moved the side to the top 10 after 31 matches amassing 39 points.

Mr Mr Hayford is a two time Ghana Premier league winner with Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold, where he introduced the CVV system of play.
