Ashanti Gold head coach Milovan Cirkovic has confirmed his departure from the club in the coming days after spending a little over three months with the Obuasi side.
According to Cirkovic, he has been under the weather in recent weeks, missing three Ghana Premier League games.
Initial reports claimed that the Serbian was unhappy which was the reason he has been absent from the club.
In an interview with the Oyerepa FM, Cirkovic revealed that he has Malaria and would need further treatment.
“When I think about the sickness, I don’t know when am going to recover. Maybe next week but the recovery has been slow. For me I like this club, I like the supporter and everything but I am sick, I have Malaria and that is the reason why I must go and recover. I wish the club and everybody all the best.”
Ashanti Gold have struggled to two defeats and a draw in three games the Miners have played without the Cirkovic at the dugout.
