Players, technical Team, and management member of Ghana Division one side Nkoranza Warriors were subjected to severe beatings including vandalizing their team bus by persons suspected to be supporters of Real Tamale United.
The Attacker wielding canes, cutlasses, stones, and other weapons traced the team bus belonging to Nkoranza warriors after their Ghana FA division one league clash with Steadfast FC
Officials of Nkoranza Warriors reports the attackers began pelting them with stones right inside the Aliu Mahama Stadium during the match, a situation that lead their players confused for the entire duration of the game leading to their 5-1 loss.
Narrating their ordeal, team manager of the side said the Police their attackers followed them to the entrance of the stadium to attack them, but the police were swift in dispersing them, he stressed that the police left them aftewr dispersiing the attackers, only to be met at the Abedi Pele round about in Tamale where a broken truck had led to their bis stopping on the way.
He said the attacker numbering more tan 20 pounced on them with their weapons, broke the windows to their bus, pulled the player out, destroying their belongings, and subjecting the players to beatings.
He maintained the team drove from Tamale to Nkoranza with a broken windscreen, and Windows with heavy winds against them.
