Former Dreams FC star Montari Kamaheni has received a late call up to Ghana’s senior national team, the Black stars ahead of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Kamaheni, who currently plays in the Israeli top-flight with Ashdod FC replaces French based left back Gideon Mensah who has been ruled out of the crucial fixtures due to injury.
Gideon Mensah was named in Milovan Rajevac’s 28-man squad for games against Ethiopia and South Africa but the Bordeaux left back pick up an minor injury during his side’s 2-3 defeat at home to Paris Saint Germain in the French Lig 1 on Satirday.
Montari Kameheni is having an impressive campaign in the Israeli Premier League Ashdod and has already played seven league games providing one assist.
The former Dreams FC star is scheduled to arrive on Ghana on Tuesday to join the rest of the Black Stars squad before they depart to South Africa for the penultimate 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier agaisnt Ethiopia on Thursday November 11, 2021.
The team will then return to Ghana on Friday to start preparation for the final Group G game agaisnt group leaders South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium.
