Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom is in all praise for Black Stars Coach CK Akonnor.
Akonnor, former Ghana International took over as the Black Stars Coach in January this year succeeding Kwesi Appiah who could not have a contract renewal from the Ghana Football Association.
The 46-year-old former Ghana captained crowned his Coaching career with his appointment as the senior National team Coach.
Inkoom has eulogized and called for support to Akonnor who is yet to play his first game as Black Stars Coach.
“CK has played at the highest level in terms of football. He knows what is good for footballers. I knew him when I was young watching captain the Back Stars and also playing for Wolfsburg,” Inkoom told told TV3.
“He has that kind of character to handle the Black Stars. Is not every player who has played football can manage a team. But I think he has the character to handle the national team. I believe he will do well with his assistant coach David Duncan. What’s important is that we all support CK Akonnor.”
CK Akonnor has already worked as Coach for Hearts of Oak, Dreams FC, Ashanti Gold and Asante Kotoko having previously served as the deputy trainer for the lower division side Eleven Wise.
