Former Hearts of Oak winger Ollenu Ashitey says he has no regrets for joining rivals Kotoko.
Ollenu stunned football fans with an unusual move after joining Kotoko from the Rainbow Club.
Touted as one of the biggest prospects in Ghana Premier League, the attacker could not live up to expectation at Hearts of Oak leaving him under the perking order at the Club.
This forced him to join no other Club than Kotoko after the Reds showed interest.
The 25-year-old claims he has no regrets for crossing carpets from Hearts Of Oak to Kotoko despite the age-long rivalry existing between the two Clubs.
“I don’t regret and I’ll never regret leaving Hearts of Oak for Asante Kotoko,” he told Sikka FM in Kumasi.
Ashitey says he opted to leave Hearts of Oak for Asante Kotoko because of the latter’s lucrative offer.
“I left Hearts of Oak for Asante Kotoko because of the ‘good money’ they offered me. Life is all about Money after God.”
His time at Kotoko could not go well after the Club released him together with a couple of players.
Until recently the player was with Great Olympics but fresh reports indicate he has signed for Legon Cities ahead of the second round of the season.
