The former Valencia and Saudi Arabia coach is the latest to long list of trainers vying for the West African top job following the reported sacking of Serbian Milovan Rajevac last Saturday.

Although not official, Rajevac’s job became available following a disappointing campaign with Ghana at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon where the Black Stars were booted out of the group stages after defeats to Morocco and debutants Comoros and a draw against Gabon.

The under-fire Serbian tactician is set to submit his technical report to the Ghana Football Association(GFA) after which an official pronouncement is expected to be made on his future.

Juan Antonio Pizzi, who led Chile to win the 2016 Copa America, wants to replace Milovan Rajevac and the FIFA Pro License Holder has openly expressed his interest

“I am interested in working with Black Stars. I think it’s a team with the potential of reaching the World Cup,” Pizzi stated in an interview.

Meanwhile former Egypt head coach Hossam El Badry has also expressed his desire to take up the job whiles the likes of George Boateng, Otto Addo, Chris Hughton and Didi Dramani have all had their names being mentioned as potential candidates.
