Ghana attacker Patrick Twumasi is happy with the imminent return of football in Turkey.
The Turkish Super Lig have been on suspension since March this year due to Coronavirus.
The Turkish Football Federation asked all Clubs to return to training as they plan to resume the season in June, this comes after Germany announced May 16 as the restate date for the Bundesliga.
Twumasi together with his Gazişehir Gaziantep teammates trained together for the first time in more than four weeks, a situation the Ghana International is happy about.
“We returned to training for the first time in more than a Month and it was a great feeling,” he spoke to 442gh.com.
“It been a long time we trained together because of the virus, but for us to come back again and train makes me happy.
“At least we know football will be returning soon, you know we were doing some individual training at our various homes but that wasn’t enough.
“It is our wish that the virus will be out but there have been some measures put in place to ensure that we go by the health directives. So now we no long spend more time at training and even at training we still wash our hands and sanitize them frequently.
“We no long shake or hag or take selfish together at training any more. In a nut shell personally I am happy football is returning soon because it’s been a while.”
The 26-year-old is currently the second top scorer for his side in the Turkish Super Lig with 5goals and 6 assists.
