GFA Decides: Fred Pappoes Launches manifesto to redeem Ghana Football in an ecstatic atmosphere

Ghana Football Association Presidential Candidate Fred Pappoe has launched his 5R’s Manifesto with a call on delegates to vote for an accomplished, decorated, and Committed team player to lead the crusade of recovering, restoring, redeeming, repairing, and reviving the Ghana football Brand.

The Launch attended by distinguished football personalities, and members of the academia with Professor Goski  Alabi as the chairperson. Also in attendance were other competitors of the GFA elections including George Ankomah Mensah, Kurt E.S. Okraku, and representatives of George Afriyie, Lawyer Kweku Eyiah, Western Regional Football Association Chairman, Kojo Yankah, president of Kpando Heart of Lions, Randy Abbey, and many others.

Fred Pappoe, who was one time vice president of the Ghana Football Association said “We have lost the love and support of the football public, and the corporate world, it lies within us to respond collectively to ensure there is recovery of the brand, restoration of the name of Ghana Football, Redeeming the lost confidence of the public, repairing the broken walls of the FA, and reviving the lost image.

Mr. Pappoe named a number of intervention programs to ensure the FA gets back on track, including Strict compliance with  accountability provisions in the new statutes, Bi annual media/ councilors forum, Vibrant media portal to stimulate daily interaction between the media and the FA.

other interventions outlined by Mr Pappoe are formation of council of elders to provide advice and guidance to the executive council, Strengthen internal audit systems within the FA, RFA’s, and DFA’s and introduce robust financial management systems at the FA and other decentralized units.

the manifesto stresses on taking aggressive innovative sponsorship drive, engaging in capacity development, and marketing training programmes for clubs and RFA’s and DFA’s.

Mr Fred Pappoe further outlined a number of special initiatives with the introduction of tertiary institutions leagues, and ultimately revive the academicals concept, encourage  support the organization of corporate and departmental leagues.

The Ghana Football Association is expected to go  to the pulls on Friday October 25 to elect a new president.
