Ghanaian football fraternity showed their solidarity to the bereaved Upper West Regional FA chairman during the seven day prayers for his late wife, Hajia Shamira Yahaya.
An entourage from the Ghana Football Association, led by Oduro Sarfo, stormed the upper west regional capital to mourn with their bereaved colleague in a well patronized event.
The GFA delegation included Eastern Region FA Chairman, Lindford Boadu Asamoah, Oduro Sarfo, Shaibu Zida and Northern Region FA Chairman, Alhaji Abubakari Hassan Rhizo.
The upper west region FA Chairman, Alhaji DS Yahaya, lost his wife, Hajia Shamira Yahaya, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital last week after a three year battle with recurrent sickness.
The bereaved football administrator received massive support from the football family with various groups within the industry gracing the occasion to console their troubled colleague.
From the various football departments in the upper west region to the national delegates from the Ghana FA, the event witnessed different classes of people including the former GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, a close friend of the RFA Chairman.
Veteran football administrator, Kweku Manu Blue Boy, also graced the occasion to show his support for the troubled football administrator.
