The Ghana Footba Association (GFA) has officially added to its list of competitions, the Women’s Premier Super Cup.
The new addition to the football governing body’s range of products was launched at a ceremony organised by the GFA at its headquarters in Accra on Thursday.
The Women’s Premier Super Cup is pre-season competetion for Women’s Premier League clubs in Ghana.
The 2021 edition will involve eith clubs, four each from the Nothern and Southern Zones of the women’s top flight.
The eight clubs will be into two groups, A and B with the top two from each group making it the semi final.
Each participating club will receive an amount of 10,000 Ghana cedis as appearance fee with the winners getting 15,000 cedis as prize money.
First and Second runners up will receive 8,000 cedis and 5,000 cedis respectively.
The 2021 Women’s Premier Super Cup will kick off on Thursday November 25, 2021 at the Madina Zango Astro Turf.
The tournament will end on Sunday December 5, 2021.
