Hasaacas Ladies got off to a flying start in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League after beating Malabo Kings 3-1 in their opening match.
The Ghanaian record holders demonstrated an outstanding performance with a deserved victory.
Hasaacas Ladies, winners of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League managed to pick valuable points as they look to make huge impression in the competition.
Midfielder Evelyn Badu scored Hasaacas first with a superb strike after she was set up by Jafaru Abduali in the 21st minute.
The Ghana Champions however dominated the game and finally got their second in the 86th minute from a trademark goal by Perpertual Agyekum who saw her corner kick go past the Malabo Kings goalkeeper.
The Equatorial Guinea Champions reduced the deficit shortly after after capitalizing on a mistake by Hasaacas Ladies goalkeeper Grace Banwah but Badu would restore Hasaacas two-goal lead with yet another calm finish to snatch valuable points for Yusif Basigi and his ladies.
They will now take on AS Mande of Mali in their next Group match.
