ghana-fa-transparency-in-huge-doubt-as-kwesi-nyantakyi-fails-to-reveal-contract-details-with-zylofon-cashGhana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi failed to reveal the contract details concerning the Zylofon Cash deal.
The CAF vice President was tight lipped on what the deal entails during his presentation on the sponsorship agreement.
The FA and Zylofon signed a contract to have the latter as the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League.
Nyantakyi who stood on behalf of the Football Association to sign the contract was expected to tell all stakeholders what the contract has in stock for the Clubs involved.
“With regards to third-party notice and involvement, that is where the confidentiality rule applies. And confidentiality clauses are not only peculiar to this contract. They have been in existence in almost all commercial engagements among business partners.,” Nyantakyi said.
“Sometimes the parties can agree to divulge some of the information in the contract but so far as the rule of confidentiality applies, a third-party is not supposed to know.
“However, going forward, if the two parties agree that we should make certain details in the contract available to a third-party, we will do so,” he added.
This further raises questions about the transparency of the Ghana Football Association.
