The Bankroller of Kumasi based King Faisal Football Club, Alhaji Karim Grusah has confirmed the adoption of Ohene Ameyaw Park as their home venue for their home games ahead of the upcoming season.
The Baba Yara Sports Stadium has been temporarily closed for renovation works to commemorate Ghana’s 63rd Independent Anniversary. The Independence Day event is set to be hosted at the facility on March 6.
This has forced Asante Kotoko and King Faisal FC to opt for alternative home venues to honour their league games in the Ghana Premier League.
King Faisal decision to host their games at Nyinahini sports complex was rejected by the club licensing Board who deemed the park unfit to host premier league games.
“King Faisal will be playing our home matches at the Nana Ameyaw Sports Stadium at Techiman along with Techiman Eleven Wonders in the Bono East Regional Capital,” Alhaji Grunsah revealed to FOX FM.
According to Alhaji Grusah, King Faisal is well prepared ahead of the upcoming season, with all players and technical team intact. He disclosed that they have only lost Usman Ibrahim who has returned to his parent club, Kotoko after his loan spell with the ‘Insha Allahu Boys’.
