The excitement and revelation of the Ghana Premier league continues with new names emerging every week. Week 5 of the league had two outstanding players who made headlines.

Goalkeeper- Peter Sarkodie (Dreams FC) – Dreams FC kept a clean sheet in their highly publicized game against unbeaten Medeama SC at the Theater of Dreams, and to ensure the Dreamers achieved this feat was the super performance of Goalkeeper Peter Sakodie who’s heroics saved his side from going down, Sarkodie made several goal bound saves for his club in a game that looked like it was going Medeama’s way.
Right Back – Christopher Netteh (Asante Kotoko) -Chris Nettey was phenomenal in his sides 2-0 win over the Abontua Abontua lads, he gave several crosses to his attackers that could have been connected to goal, Nettey cleared the lines on several occasions, He’s had a fantastic season so far with the porcupine Warriors.
Left Back – Samuel Arthur (Elmina Sharks) – Samuel Arthur has been a key figure in the Sharks setup, providing Indeph passes, to the midfield and attack, Arthur enjoyed a great game against Great Olympics, with his runs, and tackles to stop sensational Sulley Mohammed from causing troubles in their 1-1 draw game.
Central Defence – Michael Sefa – (Liberty Professionals) – One of the few Utility players in the league, Sefa combines power and speed to his game, with powerful aerial advantage due to his height, Sefa played as an additional Midfielder in his side’s 1-2 loss to Hearts of Oak but was clearly a delight to watch.
Central Defence – Zakaria Fuseini (Berekum Chelsea) Another solid day for the National team player, Fuseni has exhibited a super confidence posture since the inception of the season and been phenomenal at the back of the blues, his timely interventions, and leadership qualities kept Ashantigold at bay in their week 5 clash at the Len clay Stadium.
Midfield – Emmanuel Nettey (Hearts of Oak) – Accra Hearts of Oak new signing had a remarkable day with his game against Liberty Professionals, The energetic midfielder provided a creen inrront of the back 4 to give room for the other midfielders ti blossom at the centre of the pitch, his performance took the reeming fans off their seats to cheer him up, and to shower him with cash.
Right Wing- Victorien Adebayor (Inter Allies) – The Nigerien import was at his usual best, as he controlled the successes of his side, Adebayor was miles apart from his opponents, as his 86th minute thunderous goal cancelled the earlier one scored by WAFA
Left Wing- Sulley Ibrahim (Great Olympics) – Sulley Ibrahim has been the perfect fix Great Olympics needed to get their games going, sulley proved too strong for the defence of Elmina Sharks in their 1-1 draw game, he capped a fine afternoon with the equalizing goal that gave the wonder club another votal point in the league.
Attacking Midfield- Sadiq Alhassan (Karela United) The former Ghana league winner rolled bsck hos excitement at the Akoon part to emerge the best player of the day when his side played a 1-1 draw game against King Faisal FC, the versatile midfielder set the Akoon park on its feet with same mouth watering passing all game long to climb the podium as the finest for the afternoon.
Support Striker – Adu Kwabena Prince (Beachem United) – The 16 hear old has taken the league by storm scoring 4 goals in three matches, his goal secured victory for Bechem United in the last match for week 5, his runs in opponent’s area, and his lack of respect for defenders makes him one of the players to watch in the league.
Striker – Momo Yaya can never stop scoring, the big man of Dormaa was at his usual best again when his side crushed millionaire club Legon Cities at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, Yaya opened the scores to destabilize the opponent, he leads the goal scoring chat with 6 goals from 5 matches, and fit fix to lead the attack for our team of the week.
