Ghana Premier League Updated Table And Top Scorers Chart After Week 5

Some teams and players have impressed so far in Week 5 of the Ghana Premier League.

On Friday night, Asante Kotoko pipped Legon Cities 1 – 0 courtesy Osman Ibrahim’s 10th-minute strike to record their season’s first win at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Hafiz Konkoni and Moro Salifu’s goals secured an emphatic 2 – 1 victory over Inter Allies on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium with Paul Abanga getting the consolation for Inter Allies.

The Accra derby saw Liberty Professionals beating Great Olympics 1 – 0 at home. Simon Appiah got the only goal for the scientific soccer lads.

Karela United easily swept aside King Faisal, courtesy a 2 – 0 win at home. Diawisie Taylor and Kwame Boateng got the goals for Karela United.

In the Bono derby, Eleven Wonders thwarted the chances of Aduana Stars to walk home with a point. Yahaya Mohammed got the goal for the Ogya boys and Samuel Boakye scored for Eleven Wonders.

AshantiGold thumped Elmina Sharks 4 – 2 at home. Whereas Benjamin Boateng registered brace for Elmina Sharks, Appiah McCarthy, Dacosta Boadu and David Abagna pencilled their names on the score sheet for the miners.

West African Football Academy, WAFA, kept all points at home as they easily dispatched Berekum Chelsea. Augustine Boakye and Daniel Lomotey were goal heroes for the youthful side.

In the last match of the day, Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium recorded their first league win of the season after thrashing Dreams FC 3-0. Kwadwo Obeng Jnr and Michelle Sarpong (2x) were the scorers for the Phobians.
