Goalkeeper Kofi Baah Marks King Faisal Debut with Clean-sheet

Goalkeeper Kofi Baah made his King Faisal debut in their 1-0 MTN FA Cup victory over Ghana Premier League rivals Karela United atbthe Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Wednesday.
The 24-year old shot-stopper marked his debut with a clean-sheet and a win for the Insha Allah boys as they see off the Anyinase based club to progress to the Round of 16 of Ghana’s Premier Cup competition.
Baah joined King Faisal on a season-long loan from relegated top-flight side Liberty Professionals in June 2021 but had to wait a bit longer to make his first appearance after a disrupted pre-season.
The highly rated keeper had to leave pre-season to attend to some family matters and only returned a week to the start of the 2021-22 season.
Kofi Baah made 26 appearances for Liberty Professionals in the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season, keeping 11 clean-sheets in the process.
However, his superlative performances could not help the Scientific Soccer Lads in their quest to escape relegation as they failed to beat King Faisal on the final day of the season at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.
Deapite the club’s relegation from the Ghanaian top-flight, Baah’s performances did not go unnoticed as he attracted interest from a number of clubs before joining King Faisal on a season-long loan.
