government-respond-to-fifas-threat-to-ban-ghanaThe government of Ghana has quickly responded to FIFA’s threat to ban the country following the impasse between the government and the Ghana Football Association.
FIFA on Monday wrote to the government to withdraw its case against the Ghana Football Association from court.
The Attorney General had made a Liquidation case against the Nation’s football governing body after Anas’ video expose which saw several top GFA officials involved in various scandals.
The Federation of International Football Association however warned Ghana to settle the issue with the FA out of court or faces an imminent ban.
FIFA went on to set August 27 as the deadline date for the government of Ghana.
A letter from the Ministry of Sports requested an immediate meeting with FIFA for further interrogation between the two on the issue at hand.
