Match-Week Three of the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League produced some wonderful individual performances accross the eight(8) league centres in the country.
The pick of the action saw the inspirational David Abgba Sandan scored a brace from midfield to hand newly promoted Real Tamale United their first win of the season at home to WAFA.

Goalkeeper- Razak Abalora (Asante Kotoko)
Razaka Abalora put up a goalkeeping masterclass to help Asante Kotoko maintain their 100% start to the season with a victory away at Bibiani Gold Stars. The former WAFA goalie was at his best as he denied the GPL newcomers a second win of the season.
Right Back- Chritopher Nettey (Asante Kotoko)
The Asante Kotoko right back played a key role in his side’s victory over Gold Stars on Friday. Nettey was at his vintage best both in defence and attack for the Porcupine Warriors recorded a second clean-sheet of the campaign.
Left Back- Benjamin Abaidoo (Medeama)
Medeama SC registered their fist point on the road when they held Eleven Wonders to a goalless draw in Techiman on Sunday. Benjamin Abaidoo scored full marks at left back as the Mauve and Yellow neutralized the attacking threat of the home side.
Center Back- Michael Enu (Gold Stars)
Although Gold Stars lost 0-1 to Adante Kotoko, one player who stood out for the Bibiani based club is center back Michael Enu. The former Ashgold man was awesome in defence and a threat from setpieces for Gold Stars all game long.
Center Back- Richard Akrofi (King Faisal)
King Faisal have had an impeccable start to life in the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League. A huge credit must be given to experience defender Richard Akrofi for the fortunes of the the insha Allah boys. The former Hearts of Oak defender scored full marks once again, helping his team beat Ashgold 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
Central Midfielder- Frank Amankwah (Eleven Wonders)
Young midfield sensation Frank Amakwah was the man on show for Eleven Wonders againt Medeama on Sunday. The youngster capped-off a dominant midfield performance with the man of the match award as his side held Medeama SC at home.
Central Midfielder- David Abagna Sandan (RTU)
Undoubtedly the best performer over the weekend, David Abagna scored twice and won the man of the match award as his RTU side record their first win of the campaign. The former Wa All Stars and Ashant Gold midfielder is now the league’s top goal scorer with five(5) goals.
Right Winger- Maxwell Abbey Quaye (Great Olympics)
Maxwell Abbey Quaye continued with his impressive start to the 2021-22 season. The young winger scored the only goal of the match as Great Olympics overcame Legon Cities in the Accra derby.
Left Winger- Isaac Oppong (Asante Kotoko)
Young Isaac Oppong continued his good form for Asante Kotoko in their 1-0 win over Gold Stars on Friday. The youngster scored a superb second half goal to ensure the Porcupines 100% record stayed intact.
Attacking Midfielder- Obuoba Yaw Dasi (Bechem United)
Bechem United’s latest acquisition had his best game in green agaisnt Elmina Sharks on Sunday. The attacker scored one of the goals for the Hunters in their 2-0 win over Sharks at the Nana Gyeabour Park.
Center Forward- Agyenim Boateng (Dreams FC)
Striker Agyenim Boateng scored a brace for Dreams FC on their return to the Theatre of Dreams. The Still Believe lads dispatched Accra Lions 3-1 with Agyenim Boateng emerging as the game’s topmost performer.
