Most Ghana Premier League sides have been active in the second transfers window as some continue to strengthen their squad to escape relegation while others boost their team to keep their title hopes alive.
Therefore, 442gh focus on four big names who mark the beginning of a new era this weekend with their new outfits.
The Yaw and Yaw Bench At Golden City Park
Yaw Preko and Yaw Acheampong will have their first test as head coach and assistant coach respectively against Berewkum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Sunday.
Yaw Preko within this season has worked with Olympics as a stopgap coach in the absence of Annor Walker who was on sick leave. Preko won three of the five games he managed including a famous 2-0 victory over Hearts of Oak.
For Acheampong, he resigned from Elmina Sharks due to unpaid salaries and the team’s financial constraints. Which brought a three-year spell as head coach to an end.
Together they mark their new era at a difficult ground against tough opposition.
Benjamin Tweneboah For Aduana
The former Elmina Sharks winger joined Aduana Stars for three years and is set to make his debut for the Dormaa team against Kerela United FC on Saturday.
Tweneboah already has four games to his name this season and would like to add more in the Aduana shirt.
Ibrahim Salifu In Hearts Of Oak Shirt
The playmaker signed for Hearts of Oak for three seasons from Eleven Wonders after having a stunning opening six months of the campaign.
Salifu won five man-of-the-match awards and was involved in five goals (4 Assist, 1 Goal) which the Phobians can’t wait to see the left-footed midfielder increase his numbers in the Rainbow colours.
Samuel Boadu will begin his Hearts of Oak career as a head coach against WAFA on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
A much-anticipated debut every Phobian will be looking forward to. What is his system? What will he bring? Who and who starts will make his first line up? These are questions that the answers will be found before, during and after the game against the Academy boys.
Boadu has pen 3 and half years with Hearts of Oak and Sunday will be a debut to forget or a debut to remember for him.
