Board of Directors of Asante Kotoko are in talks with Samuel Osei Kuffour to take over the club as the Chief Executive Officer according to report from reliable source.
The negotiation between the two parties if reaches consensus, the former Bayer Munchen defender will take over from current CEO of the club Nana Yaw Amponsah.
Naw Yaw Amponsah since his appointment in 2020 has come under many criticisms from player recruitment to player treatment and other related issues regarding the playing body including the exit of head coach Maxwell Konadu which some deemed it came too early.
Nonetheless, the incumbent has made Kotoko attractive on the outside and has managed to lure in several sponsors within a short period.
Reports from Multimedia Journalist, Owusu Bempa Ayala, some board members have contacted Black Stars great, Kuffour to consider a role he missed out in 2015.

Kotoko currently has been declared losers of their CAF Champions League game against Al Hilal Omdurman after failing to meet a required number of players for the match due to 7 out of their 22 players testing positive for COVID-19.
Hence, the Reds will feature in the Confederation Cup last play-off round and fight for a group stage qualification in Africa’s second-tier competition.
