Head coach of Ghana’s U-20 female national team- Black Princesses, Ben Fokuo has named upto eight(8) players from Hasaacas Ladies in his squad for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
The six players were invited after their impressive showing in the CAF Women’s Champions League in Cairo where they finished as losing finalist to South African side Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Hasmal Ladies, despite their loss have had a sterler year having won the Ghana the domestic league and cup double as well as the West Africa Football Union Zone B championship which was staged in Cote d’Ivoire in the middle of this year.
Their success have come in handy as for the national selectors who have named eight(8) in the national U-20 with goalkeeper Grace Banwaa included.
Others are Azuma Bugre, Doris Boaduwaa, Rahama Jafaru, Asana Bugre, Yahya Asana, Milot Pokuaa and CAF Women’s championship MVP and Top-scorer Evelyn Badu.
The girls are expected to join the Black Princesses at their camp in Prampram as they continue preparation for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier againt Zambia.
