Goalkeeper Richard Attah has apologized and wished striker Hafiz Konkoni Wontah speedy recovery following a clash that left the goal poacher hospitalized.
The two players came into contact in the 46th minute of the Ghana Premier league game played at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour park.
The clash left Hafiz Konkoni Konkoni breaking his left arm, before being rushed to the hospital for treatment.
But the apologetic Attah told Asempa FM he had no intentions of getting the striker injured.
“I feel so sorry for my brother, I didn’t go in to get him injured, it was an aerial ball that I went in with my back to clear, He came from behind, and I didn’t see him, I think he landed awkwardly, and broke his arms”.
“We are all Footballers, and this is the job we do, and i will never in anyway attempt to hurt a colleague, I feel so bad about the situation, and ask fans of Bechem United to forgive me” he added.
The Bechem United attacker was rushed to hospital following the clashed, and later discharged having gone through diagnosis and treatment.
