Hearts of Oak And Asante Kotoko SC To Square Off In United Kingdom

 

Ghana’s flagship football match is set to be staged in the United Kingdom for the first time as organizers planned celebrating this year’s independence cup match outside Ghana.

The two most celebrated football clubs in Ghana, Asante Kotoko SC and Accra Hearts of Oak are set to extend their rivalries onto the European stage with a ground breaking match at a yet to be announced stadium in England.

Media reports on the local hinted that plans are far advanced in organizing the 2020 edition of the annual independence cup match in the United Kingdom with Asante Kotoko SC and Hearts of Oak Set to square off yet again on the field.

The identity of the organizer has not been officially revealed as at now but concrete reports suggested the two clubs have knowledge about the said game and have endorsed their readinss once negotiations are completed.

Both teams could be pocketing a cool $25K as participating fees whiles proceeds and other media rights will be discussed in the contractual agreement.
