Hearts of Oak’s new signing Gladson Awako has been excused by the Club to deal with some personal issues, the Club has confirmed.
Contrary to reports claiming the former Ghana U20 player had requested for his contract to be terminated, the 30-year-old has rather asked for sometime off to put himself together.
Awako is yet to make an appearance for Hearts of Oak after joining the Club from rivals Great Olympics.
Weird reports about the player having Nightmares and attacks looks to be a misinterpretation of his absence from the team.
According to the Club, the 30-year-old will rejoin the team when he sort out himself.
Hearts of Oak advanced to the second round of the CAF Champions League after beating CI Kamser 2-0, a game Awako missed.
They now face Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in the next round.
