Wonder club Accra Great Olympics jumped to the summit of the Ghana Premier league for the first time in 17 years after the side recorded a 3-0 home win over Regional rivals Legon Cities.

The Two times Ghana league champions have began the 2020/2021 season on a high flying note picking vital points from difficult grounds.

The 1970, and 1974 Champions last climbed to the top of the league in 2003 when they went unbeaten in their first 3 matches.

An opening draw against Power FC, and two subsequent wins against Okwahu United and Mine Stars put the wonder club at the summit of table, in a league that was won by Asante Kotoko.

That season the Agosu lads finished 6th on the table ending the season with 10 wins, 9 draw, and 11 defeats.

Olympics next game is against Asante Kotoko,  but the wonder club will have to hold on foe the Porcupine Warriors to clear their CAF Champions league preliminary round game against Mauritanian side Nouadhibou.
