Ghana Premier League club Legon Cities have sacked experienced Serbian tactician coach Goran Barjaktarevic after only one season in charge, following the team’s poor performance in their league campaign.
His sack came right after the Royals lost poorly to Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Great Olympics head coach Annor Walker is the only coach in the top-flight league that has shared his thoughts on the sacking of Legon Cities head coach.
He revealed his over anxiety to the media that he was happy to hear that the Serbian tactician was relieved of his post as coach of the First Team.
Speaking in a post-match presser after their game against WAFA, coach Annor Walker said that the sacking of Goran Barjaktarevic gave him delight.
“I was happy when Legon Cities fired Goran.
Coach Annor also preached for the opportunities that should be given to the Ghanaian coaches in the top-flight league.
“We are local coaches and need the job here. The local coaches must lift up their game,” the Great Olympics coach said after his team defeated WAFA in their dubious encounter.
Olympics are now 3rd on the league table with just a point behind Bechem United and Karela United.
