Techiman Eleven Wonders Gaffer, Ignatius Fosu reckons that goal scoring has been a hitch in the Ghana Premier League so far.
A total of 103 goals have been scored in the league after matchday six with three outstanding matches to be played on Saturday.
Ashanti Gold is the highest scoring side in the league with 14 goals and have a game in hand d against Bechem United on Saturday.
Ignatius reacting to how competitive the league has been said goal scoring is ” the pain of this campaign”
“It (Standard of the league) is high because last season we had ten teams who had changed coaches. So there were a lot of new coaches. But this season, every team had it coach and with the exception of Kotoko who signed nine new players; the others did not sign that much.
Therefore, a lot of teams have had stability. That is why a team will play either Dwarfs or Olympics but it will not feel like the Olympics of last year. Because Annor Walker has spent time with the team and he has got how he want the team to play. I think that is why the performances by the teams are high.” he told Pure fm
“The only problem I see is goal scoring, generally. Goal scoring has been the pain of this campaign.” he added
