Osman Ibrahim has been ruled of Asante Kotoko’s outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture against Great Olympics on Thursday evening.
The striker walked off the pitch last Friday after scoring the match-winner against Legon Cities last Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium. Though, the extent of his injury is not communicated but is expected to make a return soon.
While his recovery is going well, as expected he is not ready for the Olympics clash at the Accra Sports Stadium. It represents a huge blow to Maxwell Konadu, who is aiming to win his second successive games in the premier league this season after record his first win against Legon Cities last Friday night.
Osman has played all the matches this season for Asante Kotoko, scoring two goals in the process.
He is expected to return for the final phase of CAF Champions League preliminary round match against Al Hilal in Accra next week.
His absent will give opportunities to William Opoku Mensah and Naby Keita who are yet to play a part in the season so far.
