Innaki Williams’ Brace Not Enough For Athletic Bilbao In 3-2 Defeat At Atletico Madrid

Ghanaian-born Spanish forward Innaki Williams registered a powerful brace for Athletic Bilbao in their painful defeat against Atletico Madrid at the Wonda Metropolitano stadium.

The Basque-based attacker racked home two stupendously taken goals for the visitors before a late surge turned the game on its head thanks to screamer from compatriot Thomas Partey.

Innaki Williams opened the scoring in the game with an exquisite finish to silence the noisy Metropolitano 36 minutes into the game to put his side 1-0 up heading into recess.

The host rallied back through a brilliant strike from Thomas Partey on the hour mark only for Williams to restore the lead for the visitors with another well taken goal 3 minutes after the equalizer.

Thomas Partey then teed up Rodri Hernandez for the second equalizer before a dramatic late winner from Diego Godini kept the points in Madrid.
