President of Ghana Premier league club Bechem United, Mr Kingsley Owusu Achiaw is advocating a prompt fines on clubs and Match officials whose actuons bring the name of the game into disrepute.
Mr Achiaw, also known as Agama told Asempa FM’s Enoch Worlanyo Wallas on the Sportnite show that “referees and Hooligans must be given hefty fines even before the merit of the case is known, the GFA must come out with directives that will ensure that the General Managers, Team Managers and Match commissioners are given a complaint form to be transmitted to the Ghana FA within 48hrs”
“The FA should appoint a weekly match review panel, their job will be to consider all games over the weekend, and before the Disciplinary committee sits on the case, the review panel would have offered some sanctions”.
Mr Owusu Achiaw further suggested that the FA should institute on the spot fines and bans even before cases are heard at the various sanctioning bodies.
“The FA should have a weekly match protest committee, all referees and fans whose actions ruin the progress of matches should have instant sanctions by the powers given to the weekly match Review team without going into the merit of the case, any club who’s fan attack a match official should be banned from playing at home immediately after the match to serve as Justice to the affected official” he added.
He maintained that, Once clubs and officials know justice will be delivered within 48hrs after matches, they will have confidence in the system.
