In form Effiong Nsungusi has been voted player of the month for June at Danish club HB Koge.
The on loan Inter Allies forward had to endure a long wait to make his debut due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic after an initial delay because of paperwork.
He did made the most of the circumstances and became a main stay in the team after putting in top notch performances match after match.
The youngster recorded 3 goals and an assist in 7 matches. He also made valuable contributions in as many minutes played.
The Club’s fan group in recognition of his contributions voted him as their player of the said month.
He got more than half of the votes cast at 51%. Effiong after winning the award had interactions with the fan group led by Anderson Christensen.
Effiong joined the Danish side in March 2020 and made his debut after the resumption of football due to the pandemic.
The award thus is rewarding having to endure a difficult first season in Europe.
