Inter Allies Technical Director Willie Klutse keen to have football back

Technical Director for Inter Allies Willie Klutse has called for the return of Football amid the Coronavirus fears.

The National Sports Authority on Monday released a list of sporting activities which are likely to make a return soon after giving the green light for training to resume.

Badminton, Table Tennis, Fencing, Weightlifting, baseball, Softball, Cycling, Draughts, Power Lifting Squash, Para Sports, Horse racing, Rowing and Canoeing have all be given the go ahead to begin training.

However contacts Sports such as football are yet to know their fate after the President further prolonged the ban to the end of July.

Willie Klutse however sees the situation as frustration hence calling for the game to return soon.

“For me Football has been treated as if it is not an important Sport, so football can wait but I think there is more into football than the way people see it,”he was speaking to TV3

“Playing behind closed doors, we are okay, because the Sports commentators will be there, the cameras will be there even at times they play football matches in Europe and we sit in Africa and Ghana and enjoy it as if the ball is being played here.

“At least if we are not ready now they should at least allow us to go to train. It takes sometime to bring a rotten player to a good shape. I don’t know who presented the footballers case because the Club owners are getting fed up to pay the players.

“Three years now they are not getting their investment back. For three Months now no football and they are paying people so even the Club owners are getting fed up to pay the players and only God knows when this thing will end.”

Football in the country has been on hold for the past two Months due to the novel virus.
