General Captain of Aduana Stars, Emmanuel Akuoko, has labelled his side’s upcoming Ghana Premier League match with Champions Hearts of Oak as a “must win”.
Aduana Stars will embark on a trip to the nation’s capital to face Hearts of Oak on Match Week 3 of the 2021-22 season this Sunday.
The Dormaa based club has had a struggling start to the campaign, picking up a single point in their opening two matches.
Speaking in an interview ahead their visit, Emmanuel Akuoko brushed aside talks of early season pressure, insisting that playing against the Phobians is a normal game.
“It’s a normal match like playing with any other team,” the experienced defender said.
“The reason is that when we beat Hearts is three points and when we beat any other team is three points that’s why is a normal match for us.
“Is a must win game whiles we have lost and drawn one,” Akuoko added.
Both Aduana Stars and Hearts of Oak are on the search for their first win of the campaign.
The Ogya lads opened their season with a 1-1 away to Karela United before suffering a 3-1 home defeat to a resurgent King Faisal side at the Nana Agyeman Badu Stadium last weekend.
Hearts of Oak on the other hand has drawn twice in as many games- a goalless draw on the opening day against Legon Cities and a 1-1 draw at Sogakope based WAFA.
