Ghana defender John Boye can only leave French side Metz in 2022 as his contract remains intact.
Contrary to reports indicating the player would leave at the expiration of his deal in June this year, 442gh checks reveal the centre-back has a running contract with the French Club until June 2022.
Boye has been a key cog for the French Club since he arrived at the Stade Saint-Symphorien.
The 32-year-old who have already made 36 appearances for the Ligue I side joined from Turkish Club Sivasspor in 2018 and signed a four-year contract.
Metz could however farm him out should they receive a good deal from interested Clubs.
The Ghana International is so far having a good time at the Club after helping them gain promotion back to the elite division.
Meanwhile Metz are yet to receive any deal for the defender who remains a key part in Vincent Hognon’s set-up.
