Asante Kotoko SC have been made to cough another bad debt in judgment debt after suffering legal blow with one of their former players, 442gh.com has been informed.
The Reds of Ghana settled salary arrears and enticement fees of a player who barely spent one season with the club before his acrimonious exit.
Former Karela United FC forward, Williams Opoku Mensah, won a legal suit against the Reds and has reportedly been cleared of his salary arrears and other bonuses due him.
442gh.com gathered that the former Karela United FC forward, who joined Asante Kotoko SC in January 2020, was allowed to leave after his one year deal but was not fully paid as at the time of his exit.
He is part of a quintet of players battling Asante Kotoko SC for their enticement fees and salary arrears in excess of GH¢200K.
Williams Opoku Mensah have since joined Rwandan Premier league side Mukura Victory Sport after a short spell with Liberty Professionals FC
