Ghanaian champions Hasaacas Ladies will face South African giant Mamelodi Sundowns in the final of the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League in Cairo, Egypt.
The two teams made it to the final of the competition after winnig their respective semi-final matches on Monday.
Hasaacas Ladies registered an impressive 2-1 win over Moroccan side AS FAR before Sundowns saw off a spirited Malabo Kings FC on penalty shootout following a goalless draw in the second semi-final.
The two teams were the odds on favourite for the title following their show of superiority in the group phase of the competition.
Hasaacas Ladies beat Malabo Kings and AS Mande in their opening two games before drawing agaisnt host club Wadi Degla.
The Ghanaian qualified to the semi-final as group A leaders with seven points out of a possible 9.
Sundowns also led group B with seven points after beating Kenyan outfit Vigha Queens and Nigeria’s River Angels in the process.
