Former Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed his regret over leaving AC Milan for Schalke 04 in 2013.
Boateng made 115 appearances for the Milan in all competitions, scoring 19 goals, winning two major trophies.
He then joined Schalke 04 due to racism-related issues 2013.
The 33-year-old struggled to replicate his Milan performances in Germany, playing 46 times before returning to the San Siro in 2016.
“The teammates with whom I found myself best? The best moments of my career concern Milan, we won cups and we all became friends,” he told DAZN.
“Looking back I was wrong to leave, Galliani is still angry (laughs),” he added.
Boateng has since played for Las Palmas, Eintracht Frankfurt, Sassuolo, Barcelona, Fiorentina, Beşiktaş and currently with Italian Serie B side AC monza.
