Asante Kotoko will be without Latif Anabila and Augustine Okrah when they travel to the Golden City Park to face Berekum Chelsea in a Ghana Premier League clash on Sunday.
Okrah was withdrawn at half-time during the Porcupines’ 1-1 home draw with Eleven Wonders last weekend as well as Latif Anabila who was pulled off in the second half of that game.
It was expected Okrah could be fit for the trip to Berekum, but it ios understood he will need more days to fully recover. Anabila, on the other hand, will be out for some weeks.
Coach Maxwell Konadu will have a selection headache against Hesse Odamtten’s side, with Fabio Gama, Mudasiru also ruled out.
The Brazilian is ineligible to play for the side and will have to go through some process with his registration before he can be given the go-ahead to play.
This leaves Maxwell Konadu with Muniru Sulley and Emmanuel Keyekeh as the most likely partnership in the offensive midfield at the Golden City Park.
There is some good news though as Naby Keita who missed the league opener due to injury is back in training, with the latter expected to join the team to Berekum.
The trip to Berekum Chelsea will prove tricky, with the Porcupines hoping to bury the nightmares from their frustrating draw with Eleven Wonders.
Maxwell Konadu’s men are 3rd on the log, three ahead of their weekend opponents who are placed 6th after first round of games.
