Former Black Stars Coach Kwesi Appiah has rejected calls to return to the Black Stars as Assistant to Serbian Milovan Rajevac, who will be named by the Ghana FA as replacement for Sacked CK Akonnor.
Kwesi Appiah who’s had two stinks with Ghana’s National team maintains he is still on a sabbatical leave from coaching, and not open to taking the offer to rejoin his former Boss.
Kwesi Appiah worked as Assistant to Milovan Rajevac between 2008 and 2010 where they both took Ghana to the quarter finals of the World cup in South Africa and the final of the 2019 AFCON in Angola.
442gh.com sources close to the coach stressed that the Coach has rejected calls from highly placed FA officials to join the 67 year old Serbian as the dugout to manage the Black Stars.
Appiah holds the record as the Only Ghanaian coach to qualify Ghana to the World cup in Brazil in 2014.
The Former Asante Kotoko captain also coached Ghana at the 2013 AFCON where Ghana reached the semi finals.
