Ghana’s record goal scorer and Africa’s top scoring player at the FIFA World Cup Asamoah Gyan has called on icons and celebrities in the country to help fight Corona Virus with their statusquo and financial commitments.
The Black Stars attacker pleaded with celebrities to give back to the society what they gain from same society in the midst of a global pandemic.
With 68 cases officially confirmed in Ghana, the COVID 19 is gradually threatening to generate a total shut down in the West African country.
Known for his philanthropic hands in the past, Asamoah Gyan called on his colleagues to help in the fight against the dreaded COVID 19.
“As an icon, people look up to me. I urge all celebrities, all those who are fortunate, let’s give back to the community because this is the time that people need up. People need our support”, the celebrated forward urged his colleagues.
Asamoah Gyan remains Ghana’s biggest sporting figure in recent years with exploits across England, Italy, France, China, UNited Arab Emirates and India as a professional footballer.
