Ghanaian midfield starlet, Augustine Boakye continued his impressive form for Austrian club Wolfsberger AC II, scoring a brace for his side as they beat SC Weiz 5-1 on Friday evening.
The 20-year old former West African Football Academy graduate star striked twice in the first half to ensure Wolfsberger II secured the all three points in Regionalliga Central.
Attacker Paulo Jager opened the scoring for Wolfsberger the match in the 12th minute of the game before Boakye added two more goals in the 28th and 38th minutes.
Joshua Steiger and Marcel Holzer hit the back of the net from the penalty spot in the second half to seal the victory for their team before Dominik Weiss got the consolation for Weiz as he converted a penalty kick in the 55th minute.
The brace on Friday takes Augustine Boakye’s tally to 3 goals in just 2 appearances for Wolfsberger II in the Austrian third-tier this season.
The nimble-footed midfielder joined Wolfsberger AC from Ghana Premier League side WAFC in the summer following an impressive campaign for the 2020-21 season that saw him score 9 goals and provided 12 assists.
