Man City plan £40million transfer swoop for Tottenham Hotspurs Harry Winks

Manchester City could settle on Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Harry Winks next summer.
Having signed a five-year contract extension with Spurs, Winks future looks uncertain at the Club under Jose Mourinho.
Reports say the Portuguese is willing to release the player should a Club show interest and Manchester City have emerge as the England midfielder’s possible next destination.
Mourinho’s decision to bring Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton could make things difficult for Winks next season.
Tottenham Hotspurs could accept nothing less than £40million for the 24-year-old.
Manchester City having acquired Nathan Ake and Torran Torres from Bournemouth and Valencia respectively are keen to sign another midfielder to augment their squad and Pep Guadiola believes Winks could be a perfect player to fit into his set-up especially with the imminent exit of Club legend David Silva.
Winks came through the youth ranks at Tottenham Hotspurs before breaking into the first team in 2014. He has since made 94 appearances for the Club and scored twice.
