Manchester United could sign Sami Khedira on a free transfer this summer.
Juventus are said to have excluded the German International from the squad.
Andrea Pirlo clearly would not accommodate the 33-year-old in his team next season leaving the player with no option than to leave.
Khedira is said to have opened talks with the English giants who have also shown interest.
He could be on his way to Old Trafford before the transfer window shuts on October 5.
The midfielder in the past had passed an abusive comments about Manchester United after the Club released countryman Bastian Schweinsteiger but looks like he could eat back his words and apologise to the Club.
“It’s a warning shot, definitely. I would never be in a situation where a club asks me to go,” he said.
“A player with a great career does not deserve that one eventually tells him, ‘Hey, get out!’
“I think the situation in Manchester is a shame because Bastian is a player who I have looked up to.
“Football is business. I am not a daydreamer. If Jose Mourinho has other plans, you have to accept that.”
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær have already signed Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek but won’t rule out a chance to sign the former Real Madrid star.
