Ghanaian born Italy international Mario Bawuah Balotelli registered a powerful brace for Olympique Marseilles in 16 minutes in a thrilling 2-2 drawn game at home to SC Angers in the French Ligue I.
The pop star centre forward added to his fourth minute with a goal on the 16th minute to give Marseilles a 2-0 lead before the visitors rallied back to peg the game with a late surge.
Angers kept their cool and halved the deficit from the spot thanks to Thomas Mangani’s spot kick with 10 minutes to recess.
The visitors pulled parity on the 72nd minute from another spot kick with Mangani kissing the back of the net once again to peg the game from 2-0 down.
A late expulsion for Guinea midfielder, Bouna Sarr, for the host added to the disappointment despite Balotelli’s match day heroics.
Ballotelli has now scored 7 league goals in his 9 matches played since making that winter switch from OGC Nice.
