Match Day – Hearts of Oak’s day to make history in MTN FA Cup final against Ashantigold

Accra Hearts of Oak are on course for an unprecedented 6th domestic double with only Ashantigold standing their way in the finals of the MTN FA Cup.
The Ghana Premier league champions are only 90 minutes away from repeating the year 2000 success story where they went on to win the African champions league in the subsequent year.
For the club, it is Coach Samuel Boadu who’s quest to make history at his first touch of the finals that excites many of their fans.
This quest to win the double will certainly not come easy with Thomas Duah and his free scoring Ashantigold side seeking to also win the domestic cup following a failed attempt in 2012 when they lost to regional rivals New Edubiase United.
For Ashantigold it is a perfect time to prove the entire footballing world they are indeed a top goal scoring side. The miners have scored 15 goals already enroute to reaching the finals.

However, Samuel Boadu who is seeking a historic double will release his top attacking trio of Daniel Afriyie Banie, Victor Aidoo and Patrick Razak, ably supported in midfield by the indefatigable Benjamin Afutu Kotei, Caleb Amankwaa and Frederick Ansah Botchway.
