Match Report – Accra Hearts of Oak 2-0 Berekum Chelsea, Rainbow club takes commanding lead towards winning First league title in 11 years

Continental club masters Accra Hearts of Oak has taken a commanding lead towards reclaiming its lost glory that has seen them not ein the domestic top title well over 10 years.
The former CAF supercup Champions defeating familiar Nemesis Berekum Chelsea by 2 first half goals from Benjamin Afutu Kotei and Kwadwo Obeng Jr.
Berekum Chelsea paraded a high ranking former super stars of the league with former Hearts of Oak goalie Ernest Sowah in goal for the Biribies.
Hearts of Oak needed only 10 minutes of the first half to break the back of their guest who had Stephen Anokye badu at the heart of Defence, Salifu Ibrahim’s out swinging corner kick landed straight on the head of Benjamin Afutu Kotei entering into the net to beat Ernest Sowah.
The goal disorganized Berekum Chelsea, who threw more players up play to get a quick equalizer, but the defence of Hearts stood firm with Robert Addo Sowah, and Mohammed Alhassan controlling affairs.
With a 4-3-3 system that looked more flexible, Coash Samuel Boadu’s side switched play to the right flank, with Daniel Afriyie Banie, combining with Raddy Ovouka to set up Kwadwo Obeng Jr to get the second goal with 28 minutes played.
That was all the major action spot of the game as Berekum Chelsea returned to the second half looking more organized in defence and midfield.
Coach Seth Hoffman looked more cautious despite searching for the equalizer.
But Samuel Boadu had different ideas, improving his midfield with Caleb Amankwah and Razak Patrick.
Hearts of Oak are now 49 points eith 7 games to end the season,
