Match Report: CAF U-20 Championship, Senegal prove too strong with a 2-0 win over Ghana

Two first half goals from teenage sensation, Youssouph Mamadou Badji was enough to prevent the Black Satellites of Ghana for securing a comfortable qualification to the FIFA U-20 World cup in May.
The Ghanaians who came into the game with a win over Burkina Faso lost control of the game in the first 10 minutes when they allowed Senegal to break the deadlock in the 11th minute through Youssouph Mamadou Badji, who out jumped all the defenders to head home the first goal, after fellow midfielder Drame had sped his way through the Ghanaian defence from the centre line beating off any opposition that came his way.

The black Satellites picked up from there with some defence splitting passes that threatened the defence of Senegal, bit found it difficult to equalize.

The Senegalese came close to scoring again in the 39th minute when striker Youssouph Mamadou Badji beat the defence, from the left of attack, only for Goalkeeper Nurudeen to make a save from the grounder.

Senegal came to the second half playing a more strategic defensive game , and deploying a counter attack to beat the Ghanaians.
Ghana Pronged some more attack into the game by introducing two attacking midfielders Prosper Ahiabu and Ibrahim Sadiq for the rusty Emmanuel Kumah and Emmanuel Toku in the 60th and 70th minutes, but the Senegalese were resolute in defence.
